IF you are not sure what to do today – Sunday, June 18 – then why not go to one of these events?

Visit the Vulcan Open Day, Southend:

This Father’s Day, why not visit the Vulcan XL426 in its new home at London Southend Airport?

The aircraft moved into the airport’s Hanger 6 at the beginning of June, after spending more than 30 years outside.

Today, the Vulcan Restoration Trust (VRT) is inviting the public to see the Vulcan in it’s new home, from 10am.

The VRT team will be on hand to give visitors guided tours of Vulcan XL426 and for an additional small fee you can even climb inside the cockpit.

Entrance to the event, which has a last admission at 4pm, will be £4 for adults and free for accompanied children under the age of 16.

Admission allows visitors entry to the hangar to walk around the Vulcan and take photos and enjoy a guided tour.

For an additional £3.50 per person, applicable to both adults and under 16s, visitors can climb inside the Vulcan’s cockpit.

Refreshments will be available and the trust’s stand will have a wide selection of Vulcan souvenirs on sale that will make ideal Fathers’ Day gifts.

Limited free car parking will be available close to the Vulcan hangar.
